Add or delete plan lines

You create a plan, but plans always change. You might be missing plan lines or have a few that you no longer need. How frustrating would it be to have to start all over again? No worries - we've got you covered. Simply add or delete plan lines to income statement accounts or statistical accounts as needed along the way.

Add plan line

Start

1. Open a plan, and navigate to the income statement accounts or statistical accounts tab.

2. Select Actions > Add a plan line.

3. From the dropdown lists, select a new unique account and dimension combination.

   

4. If you activate account or dimension filters, only filtered values appear in the dropdown lists. To clear filters, select Reset.

   

   Example of adding a plan line with active filters

   Susan wants to add a plan line to a department in Los Angeles. From the Location dimension, she selects 102 - Los Angeles. Now when she adds a new plan line, she only needs to select the department, since location is already defined.

   

5. Select to confirm or to cancel.

   You navigate to the new plan line automatically.

   If your plan has actuals, they are populated automatically.

Delete plan line

Start

1. From a plan, open the income statement accounts or statistical accounts tab.

2. Navigate to a plan line that you want to delete.

3. From the right column, select and then Delete plan line > Delete.
