Create what-if scenario
Business conditions change quickly, and plans need to keep up. What-if scenarios let you test different assumptions, model potential outcomes, and compare options without affecting your original plan. Use scenarios to evaluate risks, explore opportunities, and arrive at decisions backed by data rather than guesswork.
Start
-
Open the plan that you want to use as the basis for the scenario.
-
From Actions, select Manage versions > Create version.
-
Enter a logical Name that identifies the scenario.
-
(Optional) Enter a Description that explains the scenario and purpose.
-
Make sure Add actuals is unchecked.
-
To remain in the current plan, clear the Open plan when done checkbox. By default, the new scenario opens after you create it.
-
Select Create.
You can now update the scenario with your latest assumptions and expectations.
