Create plan from plan Owners only

You can base your new plan off of an existing plan. The structure and plan lines remain the same, and you can edit all values such as actuals. For formulas, you can select whether to keep them as is or convert them to values.

Start

When you create a plan from a plan, workforce data is not available. To import workforce data into your plan, you must create a new plan, as described in Create new plan .

  1. Open the plan you want to use as your template.

  2. From Actions, select Create plan from plan.

  3. In the Create plan from plan window, do the following:

    • Enter a Name.

    • (Optional) Enter a Description.

    Plan template and Plan start are automatically selected.

    The start date is determined by the following:

    • Year: Upcoming year based on current date.

    • Month: Same start month as the Plan template

  4. Select how to present formulas in the new plan:

    • Keep as formulas: Preserves formulas and dependencies in the new plan as in the current plan. You can only edit them from the formula editor.

    • Convert to values: Plan line values appear as regular numbers.

  5. Select Create.
